Rabbi Mark Trencher is the founder of Nishma Research, which conducts research in the Orthodox Jewish community – both communal and organizational studies. A majority of its work is done on a pro bono basis. He is a musmach of the Rabbi Jacob Joseph Rabbinical Seminary; a past president of an Orthodox shul, day school, and kashrut organization; and is on the Board of Directors of the National Council of Young Israel. Professionally, he was a business executive for 40+ years who headed the research departments at two Fortune 200 financial firms; and has taught undergraduate and graduate business statistics courses at three universities.

He also hosts the Orthonomics Podcast, which explores issues of importance to the Orthodox Jewish community, through the dual lenses of data and informed conversations.
